This past weekend was stocked full of fun for Imago’s high schoolers. While the boys were off camping and paintballing, the high school girls, along with a handful of adult female leaders, had one awesome sleepover on this hot summer day in July. It was one of the funnest times we’ve had.
It was so nice to be in a house together with no more on the agenda than eating, pajamas, games and conversation. Sometimes it’s nice to get away with your girlfriends and have an ol’ fashion slumber party.
We started off by walking over to the neighborhood park and trying out the equipment. Lilly found the need for speed on this slide.
As always, it’s hard not to have a good time while swinging through the open air.
Sarah, with her mischievous ways, decided everyone needed to cool off in the fountain.
Not everyone agreed with Sarah!
This white fluff ball is Missy, our mascot. She was a hoot.
A piece of our game got stuck up in a tree, so Anna and Haley got creative.
Thank you Karen for baking the most delicious foods know to Imago Dei’s high school group.
After a good nights sleep (wink wink), a few of us went down to the river for some quite time.
Here’s Lucy and Heidi reading their bibles next to the beautiful Willamette.
What a perfect start to our day! It really was lovely.
Breakfast of Champions : We ate breakfast burritos on the front porch. Yummy, they were delicious.
All in all, we had a great time. I am so thankful for each and everyone of these amazing young women for letting old ladies like us hangout with them. It truly is an honor.
The weekend was topped off with a family BBQ on Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned for that post tomorrow!
